1980's
1980/81- 1989/90
Decade Overview
During the 1980s we secured exclusive use of all three home ovals, setting the stage for sustained growth on and off the field. The following year our “new” temporary clubrooms arrived, and a season later we launched our first Sportsman’s Night and Cup Day functions. Sportsman’s Night ran for three seasons and helped build our community profile. Across the decade we entered 53 teams (Hit an all time high of 8 senior teams in a season) and claimed 7 premierships, matching our most successful era in club history.
